Overview
"SILIENCE" is the culmination of works from a 6-month long course required by all graduating Visual Arts (ICAM) students, where students pursue projects of their own design with support from faculty in a seminar environment.
The projects are a culmination of what students have learned and practiced throughout their time in the Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts (ICAM) major. The program builds upon contemporary art principles through a technological lens, where students explore the history and practice of technology-based art.
'Silience' (sil-ee-uhns), coined by John Koenig, is defined by the unknown and unnoticed beauty in the everyday. Featuring 40+ student works, mediums include interactive media installations, animated short films, video games, virtual reality, creative coding, and more.
I co-led a team of volunteer designers in producing, designing, and printing this book, primarily helping with layout design, image sourcing, and copyediting.
